Welcome to Chris K Music Lessons and Services of Mattoon, IL!

My name is Christopher Keniley, a multi-instrumentalist, educator, performer and music advocate located in Mattoon, Illinois.  Other titles I hold include founder and program director for Legacy Performing Arts of Central Illinois (established Spring 2021-Current) that features various community music ensembles,  founder and band director for the Central Illinois Homeschool Winds and Brass Ensemble (Established Fall 2021 – Current), band director for the Maranatha Christian Academy in Mattoon, IL (2022 – Current) and instructor/writer for many award winning marching programs including Mattoon Middle School (drumline), Mattoon High School (Staff, Drumline, Field Show Music, Drill, Visual),  Blue Ridge Marching Band (Drill, Percussion Writing),  Arcola High School  (Staff, Drumline, Field Show Music, Drill),  and more.

My music business, Chris K Music, provides many musical services throughout Central Illinois and the Midwest including (but not limited too) a variety of music lessons, instrument repairs, piano tuning, music ministry consultation and helping local school music and marching band programs.  New to my list of services includes refurbishing or working on used brass and wood wind instruments to promote involvement in school music programs.  Though I have over 25 years of performing and teaching experience, Chris K Music  became an official business in Winter 2009.

Chris K Music Lessons and Repairs Studio is located in Mattoon IL.
