Continuing to Support Marching Band Programs Across Illinois and the Midwest
I’m excited to announce that I will be serving as a Visual Performance – Ensemble adjudicator for the 2026 Quincy Octoberfest Field Show this fall in Quincy, Illinois.
Opportunities like this are incredibly meaningful to me because they allow me to continue supporting students, directors, staff, and school music programs throughout Illinois and the Midwest while helping encourage growth in the marching arts community.
For over 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of working in music education and the marching arts in many different roles including:
- Performer
- Drum Corps Member
- Percussion Instructor
- Drill and Visual Designer
- Clinician
- Music Educator
- Adjudicator
My experience includes marching with the Colts Drum & Bugle Corps, teaching private music lessons through Chris K Music in Mattoon, Illinois, serving as Interim Director of Bands for Sullivan Middle and High School, and continuing to work with school music programs throughout the region.
One of the things I value most about adjudication and clinic work is the opportunity to provide educational feedback that helps students and programs continue to improve while building confidence, teamwork, musicianship, and performance skills.

As we move into the 2026 marching season, I’m incredibly thankful for the directors, students, parents, and communities that continue to support music education and the performing arts.
