🥁 My Favorite Drum Fill – Simple, Musical, Effective

Every drummer has certain fills they find themselves coming back to over and over again. In this video, I’m sharing one of my personal favorites—a fill that is simple to learn, musical in application, and effective in a wide variety of musical styles.

One of the biggest mistakes young drummers make is trying to play fills that are overly complicated or don’t fit the music. Great drumming isn’t always about playing the most notes—it’s about playing the right notes at the right time. This fill is a great example of how a straightforward idea can make a strong musical impact.

Whether you’re playing in a concert band, worship team, rock band, jazz ensemble, or just practicing at home, this fill can be adapted to fit many situations. It’s also a great exercise for developing timing, coordination, and creativity around the drum set.
