Homeschool Winds and Brass Program Fall 2021

Music Lessons, Repairs and Band Services

Chris K Music’s Wind and Brass Program encourages homeschool students to take up a new instrument and learn how to play music in a concert band or small ensemble setting. This new program is available to home school families across Central Illinois for absolute beginner or intermediate homeschool musicians.

Classes will be based in Mattoon, IL and will run for 45-60 minutes once a week . Day, Time and Location will be determined based on group interest and registered musicians!

Flute
Clarinet
Saxophone (Alto or other)
Trombone
Trumpet
French Horn
Baritone
Tuba

Here is more information about the Homeschool Winds and Brass Program.

Ages 8 – 18 may participate. Duration of class will be for 45-60 minutes

This program is FREE, though donations are appreciated to offset printing and paper costs.

This is for Wind and Brass instruments only. Plastic Instruments (ptrumpet, pbone, pbone etc.) may also be used.

Students will be able to participate at Chris K Music Recitals and special band concerts.

An instrument will be required to take this course. Chris K Music sells used/refurbished/player ready instruments and repairs. You may also check into local or other stores in Central Illinois. Instruments do need to be inspected to ensure playability. Family instruments are encouraged.

Instrument testing/trying is available upon request.

Attendance at all classes is encouraged but not mandatory. If a student falls behind from missing they will need to seek help, enroll in music lessons or rejoin when the class is available again for beginners.
